To see a world in a grain of sand, And a heaven in a wild flower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, An eternity in an hour. William Blake

Field Trips

Our students are able to enjoy many interesting field trips throughout the year, sometimes as a class and at other times as a whole school.  We try to take advantage of the wonderful opportunities offered in the Ottawa area.  These include experiencing the great outdoors with trips to Jack Pine Trail, Baxter Conservation Area, the Experimental Farm, a local bee farm owned and operated by a school family, and Gatineau Park for a hike in the Fall; taking advantage of special programs and exhibits at the Museum of Science and Technology, the National Art Gallery, the Museum of Civilization, and the Museum of Nature; enjoying concerts at Centrepointe Theatre and the National Arts Centre; and trips to visit the Seniors’ groups our school is connected with. (also see service).

Small classes, teachers who are passionate about introducing the students to the wonder of God’s creation, and parents who are eager to assist with driving, all help to facilitate our many and varied field trips.  Certain field trips are even open to younger siblings who are not yet school-aged, providing an opportunity for interaction as families.  After spending fun time with the “older kids” these younger siblings eagerly look forward to the September when they too will become a student at St. Timothy’s.
